- Fitting A Boa Boot
- Thoroughly clean the hoof with hoof pick
- Putting on the Boot
- 1. Open the front shield and pull the dial on the Boa lacing system away from the boot until you feel it release. Spread the boot open .
- 2. Slip the Boa boot over the hoof, making sure the hoof toe is as far foward as possible and the boot is started on straight.
- 3. Place the horses's hoof on the ground
- Tighten the Boa Lacing System
- 4 -5 Push the dial down until you feel it lock and begin to tighten by turning clockwise. The boot will tighten and close around the hoof and hair line. Tighten until a finger can be snugly slipped between the collar of the boot and hairline.
- Important After fitting the boot, walk the horse around and retighten 1/4 turn
- Boa Gaiter
- The Boa gaiter is recommended for sandy or muddy conditions and to protect from chafing
- 1-2 Before putting on the boot, insert the Gater in the boot
- 3 Fold the top of the gaiter over the back of the boot
- 4-6 When the boot is on, fasten the gaiter to the pastern snugly
