Distribution: Northern and central Africa. Size: Can reach 12". Temperament : When new this lizard can panic. In time will settle down Males are territorial and aggressive when breeding. Hardiness: very hardy Sexing: Males have enlarged preanal pores, red head and tail tip. Food: Various insects,king meal worms, crickets,spiders,and small mice. Calcium supplement recommended. Housing : To house a couple of Agamas, use a 40 gal Terrarium. Use sand Substrate with rocks and bark slabs to provide shelter. Water: Provide a small shallow dish for drinking .change every day. Temperature: Day -86f night 79f. Lighting:A full spectrum UVA and UVB lighting is recommended. Heating: A heat pad or ceramic heat emitter.

Sexing: Males are usually larger then females with a very large head. Males have swollen hemipenal bulges. Food: Jumbo meal worms, crickets and various insects.Fruits, lettuce and pink mice. Calcium supplement for juveniles. Housing : A 29 gal terrarium with landscaping including shelters ,live or artificial plants. Water: Provide a large shallow dish for drinking and mist daily. Temperature: Day 82-86f, night 75- 78f. Lighting:A full spectrum UVA and UVB lighting is recommended. Heating: A heat pad or ceramic heat emitter.
