The Four Winds will be hosting a summer camp Monday, June 24th through Friday, June 28th. Attendees will receive a Four Winds t-shirt, fun trinket(s) and a book with horse facts. Activities will be age appropriate and will include grooming, safety, anatomy and riding lessons. We will have a local art teacher running our crafts section, Mrs. Hyde-McFeely. Learn more about her art studio and summer classes here, or check out her instagram. The last day of camp will be an opportunity for all students to display what they have learned during the week to family and friends. Snacks and water will be provided. There is a maximum of 10 campers per age group.
There have been requests of a camp for younger kids, which is why we are opening it up for ages five (5) and six (6), however, an additional $50 will be charged, unless a paying parent/guardian attends. Due to the age and size of the younger kids the additional fee allows for these ages to have a dedicated person with them at all times to provide additional safety.
There will be a minimum of one experienced horseman with a group of three students between the ages of 7-9 at all times.
8:30 am to 1:30 pm
$350/week for additional children in the family
$100/week for a parent/guardian
Campers should bring a riding helmet (if they do not own a riding helmet, a bike helmet will suffice) and wear a boot/shoe with a heel. For safety purposes, any campers wearing flip-flops will not be able to participate in daily activities. Any sunscreen or bug repellant should be applied before camp, The Four Winds will not apply those items to campers. Campers may wear shorts, however, they must bring a pair of long pants to change into for riding time.
Campers should arrive 15 minutes before camp start time to allow time for sign-in.
Campers will receive a one-time 10% discount on a package of four riding lessons if purchased within one week before or after the camp date.
We heard you! Many have children that ride, however parents would also like to participate in hands-on activities and be provided a chance to learn. On the dates below there will be a 2-hr class that will focus on specific topics related to general horsemanship, for example, grooming, anatomy, and care. Please note that this will not include any riding time. This is for ages 5-70+. Please note that those under the age of seven (7) must be accompanied by a paid adult participant/guardian.
$30/session for additional family member
Participants will receive a one-time 10% discount on one (1) riding lesson booked the week after the outing date.
