Private Lesson on Four Winds Horse

1 rider

$110

One hour private lessons are our preferred method of instruction. Using the full hour, trainers further develop finesse and understanding of fundamentals in both flatwork and over fences exercises. This detail oriented 1:1 instruction promotes rapid progress and a close working relationship between riders and trainers.

Semi-Private Lesson on Four Winds Horse

2 riders

$90

This variation of our one hour private lesson allows you to share time with a partner of similar level of experience. Semi-private lessons offer plenty of 1:1 instruction, while building in time to reflect and observe within your lesson. Choose your own buddy, or we can help to match you with a partner in the barn!

Group Lesson on Four Winds Horse

3-4 riders

$70

Group lessons are a great way to connect socially with other equestrians and to learn from observing in addition to receiving individual feedback to reinforce techniques learned in private or semi-private lessons. This budget-friendly option is only offered as a second weekly lesson in addition to private or semi-private instruction.

We offer a $30/lesson discount if you ride your own horse or your leased horse.

Little’s Lesson on Four Winds Horse

30 minute lesson, children age 3-6

$40

Our little’s lessons are exclusively offered to children age 3-6. These abbreviated lessons are designed to be the first experience for young kids with an interest in horses. During this lesson, little’s will split time between riding (with a handler in the beginning) and learning to handle horses on the ground. This early exposure opportunity is a great option prior to starting in our English riding lessons.

After completion of the introductory series students are invited to continue riding in private, semi-private, or group lessons. Please ask your instructor for more information.

Training Pricing

A la Carte Training

$60

Our a la carte pricing allows you to book training sessions as desired. Whatever the reason, we are happy to provide a quality professional ride for your horse by the trainer of your choice. We believe in the ability for you to tailor the program to exactly your needs and are here to support you however that is needed. Training can be booked “recurring” and can be as consistent as you would like.

Partial training is a great option for new partnerships and performance horses, and is recommended to have 2 training contacts throughout each week. This program is designed to ensure your horse stays tuned up as you learn, while still enjoying lots of time in the saddle.

Full training is ideal for young horses or horses working through training problems and will have 4 training contacts throughout each week. We encourage owner involvement and can incorporate lessons into the training program in addition to professional rides.

Competition Coaching

Our standard day rate is $100/day, to be billed per horse in attendance at the show. This day rate includes all coaching/riding/training performed by the trainer, regardless of number of hours spent. Shows at the Four Winds

Single Day Show

$100

In the comfort of our home stable, these shows offer a chance to learn the competition format and practice performing under pressure. Please remember that facility costs (staffing for shows, prizes, etc) incur a separate fee from coaching! Home shows are less than away shows as they don’t incur travel costs.

CHJA Shows

Weekend Only Shows

These weekend only shows offer great value for young horses and novice riders wishing to show off property for the first time. As a smaller organization than USHJA, we have the added benefit of attending the CHJA Banquet at the end of the year and will receive recognition and prizes through our state organization. As a CHJA Member, there are education grants you may apply for, as well as clinics free to members to attend.

USHJA/USEF

Billing is calculated at our standard rate of $100/day/instructor for the length of the horse show, to include setup/schooling day. The total amount will be billed regardless of whether you choose to ride or compete. This average rate also includes stabling supplies.
